A popular Italian restaurant is changing locations in Suffolk County. For the past 13 years, Butera’s Restaurant served customers at 65 E. Main St. in Smithtown. The eatery served its final meals there Saturday, Aug. 3, says a note on its website. The restaurant has two other locations -- in Woodbury and Sayville -- that will remain open and serving customers.
Butera's family owners announced it will open a new location in Bay Shore early next year, said the note. "As we decide to pursue other endeavors, we have sold the location to another restaurateur and will be closing this Butera's location, effective August 4, 2019," the statement says.
