Nothing brings out the word-of-mouth reviews like good food. Paige and Ryan Ringer celebrated their good fortunes Saturday at the Manhattan Farmers Market by spreading the gospel of Sadie and Joe’s Sicilian Oven. “We just took the last biscotti,” Paige said. “She has the best biscotti in town.”
“It’s probably the best I’ve ever had,” Ryan said. Those biscottis came from Ann Marie Boryeskne, who operates the business named in honor of her late parents. Armed with a Jersey accent and fondness for sharing food with people, Ann Marie comes to the farmers market with many varieties of peppers, tomatoes, eggplants and baked goods from family recipes. “It’s literally the first tent we’re guaranteed to stop at,” Paige said.
