Lombardi's Trattoria opened last week on Lockport's West Avenue. John Lombardi, a Lockport city councilman for 12 years, will own the place at 436 West Ave. with David Herl, who'll be the chef. Lombardi, whose family owns Overhead Door Co., said "we did this to bring back the families that consider the West End their home."
The interior has been redone with accents that evoke the history of the neighborhood, where he grew up. A dining room mural "represents all of the West End Italian businesses I remember when I was growing up," Lombardi said.
