A staple of the Rochester community will be closing its doors this Sunday. Roncone’s Italian Restaurant has been in business for 80 years. Chef Jimmy Paulino, who has run the kitchen for the past three years, will be opening a new venture, Paulino’s Restaurant, in the coming weeks on Lyell Avenue at Route 390.
Silvano Orsi of the Little Italy Association says, while Chef Paulino will be moving to a new business, it is believed that the restaurant at Lyell Avenue and Parkway will reopen in the near future. A representative for Roncone's said it is not yet clear what will happen to the property.
