It's New York-based pizza with a little Pueblo flare, "And-a-More." Angelo's Pizza Parlor And-a-More, which celebrated its 20-year anniversary on Aug. 14, has become one of the hallmark restaurants along the cool waters of the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo. The name of the popular pizza joint -- which claims to have served 1,642,018 pizzas in 20 years -- has a double meaning.
The restaurant is named after owner and founder Rich Foresta's father Angelo. The term "And-a-More" is a play on the Italian word "amore," which means love. "The 'a-more' was designed to say that not only was it the love of our father and father-in-law, but also it was designed around more, meaning that we had more than just pizza," said Debby Foresta, Rich Foresta's wife and a co-owner of the business.
