On weekends, the small gravel parking lot in front of Stephano's Ristorante can barely accommodate the dozens of vehicles that converge on this Wappingers Falls favorite. The modest place fills up quickly, creating a rubbernecking bottleneck of would-be diners speculating on the next available table as they stand in the foyer.
Ambience is clearly not the draw here. The brick-and-stucco facade looks like it was stuck onto the side of a private residence and is a little worn around the edges.
