The banging of hammers and whirring of drills will soon give way to glasses clinking in toasts and to the murmur of companionable conversation. That aroma of new construction so pervasive these days? That soon will give way to the aromas of made-from-scratch marinara and freshly baked bread.
Alfredo's Italian Ristorante, which has served up five years' worth of pasta and homemade desserts in downtown Clinton, is planning to move. But Alfredo DiPinto and his staff won't have far to go: he purchased the two-story building across the street months ago and has been working on renovations ever since.
