As a young boy growing up in Naples, Italy, Chef Angelo Manco fell in love with the aroma and flavors of fresh Italian cuisine while working in a family restaurant. He later ventured to Munich, Germany for culinary school and eventually to the United States, where he opened his first restaurant in Leesburg in 1995.
"I had always wanted to open my own restaurant after working with many professional chefs over the years," Manco said. "Five years later, I sold the first restaurant and decided to expand to a much larger building in Tavares."
