Hey West Asheville: Now that Nona Mia is gone, are you missing Italian comfort food? The wait is almost over (though, as you know, you have pizza in spades already). Arancini Italian Kitchen will open next week in the space that used to house Pineapple Jack's at 643 Haywood Road.
After an equipment issue, the restaurant is now slated to open Nov. 24, not Nov. 17 as previously reported. The venture, owned and operated by husband-and-wife duo Katrina O'Donnell and Daniel O'Donnell, will be open for dinner only at first, with Italian food served counter-service style.
