Though the Johnson City restaurant scene is tootling merrily along, Jonesborough's got reason to crow with the addition of the newly opened Black Olive Italian restaurant. Located on Jackson Boulevard, Black Olive is 15 minutes from Johnson City, about 25 or so from Greeneville, is easily accessible and has a capacious parking lot.
I first encountered Black Olive's husband and wife proprietors Moe and Kinsey working at Primo's in Elizabethton. Having worked with Primo's restaurateur Mr. Dris Yousfi can only be a recipe for Black Olive's success.
