A local coal-fired pizza restaurant plans to open its third location in the Marketplace at the West Villages in South Sarasota County. Bocca Lupo Coal Fired Pizza, which has existing locations in Port Charlotte and at 4301 Aidan Lane in North Port, plans to open a 4,500-square-foot restaurant in the Publix-anchored Marketplace development, which is scheduled to open in fall of 2019.
David Valentino, a member of the restaurant’s ownership group, said the lease was signed this week. It will be Bocca’s second location in the city of North Port. “We’ve been working with them for a few months now; they’re a terrific group behind this project. I think they’re going to do a first-class job,” Valentino said Thursday.
