Charleston-based Beemok Hospitality Collection (owners of the Charleston Place hotel) and chef Michael Mina’s Mina Group opened Italian restaurant and market Sorelle (88 Broad Street, Charleston) on Wednesday, February 15. The establishment stretches over three historic townhouses, which have gone through extensive renovations to create a jaw-dropping background for the restaurant.
The first floor contains the market, or Mercato, which is open during the day and serves Lamill coffee drinks and breakfast items like a fingerling potato frittata or mascarpone and Nutella toast. For lunch, the shop offers sandwiches ranging from meatballs and ricotta to chicken and broccoli rabe, as well as salads and Sicilian-style pizza by the slice.
