Miami isn’t exactly know for being a pizza city, but that all might be changing when Italian pizzaiolo Gabriele Bonci — the man behind Rome’s wildly popular Pizzarium — brings his restaurant Bonci (pronounced Bahn-chi) to Miami in early 2019. The Roman-style pizzeria, which already has two outposts in Chicago, will debut inside Cube Wynwood at 222 NW 24th Street in the heart of the popular arts district, Bonci’s president Rick Tasman tells Eater Miami.
“As we began to test the waters for our Roman style pizza, we thought Chicago would be a good place to start,” Bonci notes. “Now that we have had some success there we felt that Miami for the reason above would be a great place for us to go next. We fell in love with the Wynwood Arts District and found a great location in the Cube. You can’t beat the weather either!“
