MENU: Pizza reigns at the newly opened Palma Pizza, though there are plenty of other Italian favorites on the menu as well as sandwiches and salads. Pizza options include New York-style (thin crust), Sicilian (thick crust) and Chicago (deep dish), with more than two dozen available toppings as well as specialty pizzas. Pasta choices include eggplant and chicken parmigiana, baked ziti and spaghetti, while sandwich fans can pick from a variety of cold and hot subs.
ATMOSPHERE: The eatery has an open layout, with pizza ovens visible and prominent. The atmosphere is informal and relaxed, with the feel and decor of a New York-style pizza parlor.
OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE: We sampled a chicken parmigiana sub, which came with fries ($9.99), a thin crust pizza with one topping ($12.99 for a 16-inch), and a Sicilian pizza with one topping ($15.99 for a whole). We also shared an order of garlic knots ($2.99) and a small house salad ($5.99). Palma Pizza makes everything from scratch, and we noticed. The Sicilian-style pizza was a big hit with the kids, who aren’t used to thicker crusts. We all shared an order of zeppolis (Italian-style donuts) for dessert ($4.99).
