When you think of Kentucky, you think of bourbon, and a new distillery here in Danville is giving residents a new option to enjoy Kentucky’s signature spirit. The Luca Mariano distillery is bringing a taste of Italy to the bluegrass. In 2017, owner Francesco Viola’s dream of infusing his family’s Italian-inspired whiskey recipe became reality with the purchase of the distillery’s 553-acre lot.
Found and owner of Luca Mariano Francesco S. Viola said, “When they come out here, I want them to see this is farm to bottle, we grow our own grains here, we grow our own corn and wheat, we’re built out in the middle of a farm so, we want people to be able to come here and see that we’re part of every process of this.
