In 1982 Moe Abdelmasih left his home in Alexandria, Egypt, and took a job bussing tables in Clifton, N.J. "I was studying pharmacy, but I had this opportunity to come to the U.S. so I took it," Abdelmasih said. "I quit school and I became a busboy — I'm still a busboy." That's a bit of an understatement.
At the 15-year-old La Fontanella in Bonita Springs Abdelmasih can do it all — he likes to say he fills in the spaces. Consider him the dishwasher-cook-server-busboy, who dabbles in carpentry, refrigerator repair and sanitation work on the side. Oh yeah, he owns the place too. Abdelmasih took over La Fontanella in 2005, after his cousin Adel Khalil left to start Sam-Bucco Bistro in North Naples.
