Pietro's is the perfect blend of neighborhood pizzeria and progressive Italian eatery empire. Constantine has nothing on Joseph Filippazzo, who, along with brother Stefano and parents — and founders — Pietro and Rosaria Filappazzo, run the 35-year-old institution that has expanded to Bossier City, La, and now to Cape Canaveral, Fla.
The new, port-city restaurant, a franchised opportunity with a relative, will open the week after Christmas and feature a Naples-style pizza in addition to Pietro's signature New York-style pizza, fired in a wood-burning oven. "We have a lot of excitement planned for 2014," Joseph Filappazzo said.
