A popular South Beach-based rustic Italian eatery that offers dishes from different regions of Italy is opening its second location in Delray Beach. Sardinia Enoteca Ristorante, a staple of South Beach for more than a decade, opens at 3035 S. Federal Hwy, in the South Delray Shopping Center south of Linton Boulevard, on Thursday, Oct. 12, according to restaurant owners.
Partners Tony Gallo and chef Pietro Vardeu, who own several restaurants in the Miami area and Italy, are behind the new Sardinia Enoteca Ristorante. Fittingly named after the Italian island in the Mediterranean Sea, Sardinia’s menu offers classic Italian cuisine in its pizzas and pastas, as well as Sardinian dishes such as paella made with couscous and “pane carasatu,” or Sardinian flatbread.
