Gatherings at Josephine Strednak's property constantly included meals and hugs. "She was a tremendous Italian cook. We under no circumstances bought cookies, cakes or pies," said her husband, Raymond R. Strednak. Josephine A. "Josie" Cifone Strednak of Acme died Monday, March 23, 2015, in Cary, N.C., from complications of dementia and Parkinson's illness. She was 75.
Mrs. Strednak was born Nov. 17, 1939, in North Braddock, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Theresa Bloise Cifone. Raymond Strednak met his future wife at a dance in White Oak, he recalled. "I just knew this was the girl I wanted to be with," he mentioned.
