In Columbia, SC, Villa Tronco is celebrating an anniversary in 2025. The local favorite has been a cornerstone of Italian American dining, offering guests a taste of authentic cuisine and rich local history since 1940. For those of you not proficient at math, this means Villa Tronco will celebrate 85 years in business soon after the New Year arrives.
Founded in 1940 by the Tronco family, Villa Tronco began as a fruit store before eventually evolving into a full-service Italian restaurant. It remains a family-owned business, currently under the stewardship of the fourth and fifth generations. Over the years, it has become a cherished gathering place serving authentic Italian cuisine while celebrating Columbia’s diverse cultural fabric.
