Marcello's, the Italian restaurant and wine bar, began in Lafayette. In 2014, the family added a New Orleans location on St. Charles Avenue. Last Monday (Jan. 18), a third location on Veterans Memorial Drive. Here are six things to know about the new Metairie dining destination: Marcello's makes refined Italian comfort fare.
When it opened in 2014, we ranked it among the five best new restaurants in New Orleans.The menu in Metairie, which varies slightly from the New Orleans location, includes mussels in spicy tomato broth, grilled artichokes, veal Marsala and shrimp Pepate with garlic, red pepper flakes, pine nuts and linguine.
