This last week Kim Yacone of Forghedaboudit NY authentic Italian in Deming NM place 3rd and in the money for Best traditional pizza in the Southwest at the 34 th annual International pizza expo competition in Las Vegas which is the SuperBowl of pizza makers world wide. Kim entered the contest confident since she was the returning 2017 Champion.

The Yacones entered their NY pepperoni and spicy sausage which won it last year. Kim also earned 4th world wide. Over 40 countries participated this year. Kim said just to be here is enough but to have back to back wins is surreal. Bob Yacone earned 24th place in the very creative and difficult non traditional division for his amazing jerk grilled shrimp, avocado, smoked bacon with imported Piave and bacio cheese from Italy. Topped with lemon lime zest and chopped fresh basil.

Forghedaboudit now has 4 national championships. 2 of which were for their chicken wings in the annual Buffalo NY international wing championships in 2016 and 2017. Forghedaboudit is the only Restaurant in the United States with both first place wins under one roof for-wings and pizza
