Piatti at the Alamo Quarry is once again inviting guests back into experience its revamped, modern dining space and an updated menu that spins fresh pasta made in-house into Italian dishes that aim to be "never complicated or pretentious." Piatti officially reopened to the public on Thursday, January 19 at 255 E. Basse Road, Suite 500, but MySA got a peek inside the remodeled space under its new direction.
The new Piatti has reopened under the direction of Chef Giuseppe Destefano, who was greeting guests and making sure meals made it to their tables at a special event on Wednesday evening, January 18. Destefano grew up in Dallas and San Antonio. He worked at Gino's Vino Osteria in Austin and ran a food truck before ending up at Piatti.
