Italian market, cafe and bottle shop Mercato and Company is now open to West University residents and Houston food enthusiasts, according to a December news release The upscale market offers a curated selection of global, domestic and local products, as well as culinary goods and gourmet experiences, per the release.
Shoppers can grab a freshly brewed cup of coffee and baked foccacia bread while browsing Mercato and Company's handpicked items, such as:
- Texas-farmed produce
- Local, regional and imported cheeses
- Charcuterie ingredients, including fruit jams and olives imported from Italy and Spain
- Ice cream, frozen pizzas and prepared meals
