M’Tucci’s Italian Market & Pizzeria is the type of neighborhood spot you’d expect to find in New York’s Little Italy or Boston’s North End. Behind the narrow storefront, with its sign bearing the colors of the Italian flag, cured meats hang from the ceiling and flour-dusted loaves of bread crowd the racks behind the counter.
The small restaurant, with a takeout counter, is in a shopping center on Albuquerque’s West Side at Coors and Montaño. It’s a few doors down from its parent establishment, M’Tucci’s Italian Restaurant. Think of it as M’Tucci’s Jr. or, as many locals say, “the deli.”
