The location that once housed restaurants like NOLA Brunch & Beignets and The Cookhouse before it, will soon be getting a new concept, complete with a late-night menu and a bar program. Primo's, the new tenant at 720 E. Mistletoe Ave., is an Italian eatery headed to Tobin Hill from the folks who helped bring Ida Claire to San Antonio.
Primo's is the latest collaboration between chef Nels Christensen and business partner Michael Wilkerson, who've previously collaborated while working together at Ida Claire. Christensen is classically trained in Southern French and Northern Italian cooking, with stints in Seattle and San Francisco under his belt, while Wilkerson studied hospitality at Cornell University.
