New Italian restaurant comes to town

Evoking the Amalfi Coast with fish, cheese and wine imported directly from the area, chef Giancarlo Ferraro's Amalfi Ristorante Italiano & Bar is sure to ring with authenticity when it opens Monday, Nov. 10, at 6100 Westheimer Road, Suite 140.

"This restaurant is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream," said Ferraro, who hails from Salerno, Italy.
"This restaurant, with the white tablecloths, ocean blue napkins and the food I will be serving, all pays homage to the Amalfi Coast. The only thing missing is the view of the sea," Ferraro said.
The new eatery will be open Mondays-Saturdays from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Social hour, featuring complimentary appetizers and beer, wine and cocktail specials, will go on Mondays-Fridays from 4-7 p.m.
