Restaurateur Benjamin Berg’s stamp on the Houston restaurant scene grows again this week when his Berg Hospitality Group opens Trattoria Sofia, a rustic Italian restaurant in the Heights. It is the second restaurant opening this year from Berg, whose NoPo Café bowed in June, adding to his portfolio that includes B&B Butchers & Restaurant, B.B. Lemon, The Annie Café & Bar, and Turner’s.
Opening Nov. 19 at 911 W. 11th, in the space that once housed Presidio, the trattoria is the first of two Heights restaurants Berg announced earlier this year (the other, yet unnamed, will go into The Docks at Timbergrove in late 2022; both projects are in partnership with Houston-based developer Ancorian).
