New Italian restaurant Mare e Monte hasn't officially trumpeted its launch, but it's already built quite a buzz. After holding a soft opening in April and building up word-of-mouth support, the Medical Center eatery will hold a grand opening on Monday, Nov. 25, according to its owners.

Despite the relatively low profile of Mare e Monte, located at 9390 Huebner Road, reviews have been pouring in on Facebook group San Antonio Restaurants, and many heap glowing praise on the dining spot. The San Antonio Current also included Mare e Monte in its recent slideshow of 21 of San Antonio's best under-the-radar restaurants, and Texas Monthly awarded the spot three stars in its dining guide.
