Postino WineCafé, the all-day, relaxed wine spot at 642 Yale is now open in the bustling Heights Mercantile center. If the response at the pre-opening friends and family event is any indicator, the new hangout is going to be well-received by Heights residents and wine lovers alike. “We’ve been blown away by the people here [in Houston],” said Lauren Bailey, CEO and co-founder of ownership company Upward Projects in Phoenix. “Every time we’ve come here leading up to the opening, it’s been like a hug.”
The vibe of the space seems to reflect that welcoming energy back to the guests. Postino features a casual warehouse interior, anchored by massive windows looking out onto 7th Street and a large, inviting patio running parallel to Heights Boulevard.
