Wine lists can be intimidating. The grapes, places, producers, styles and vintages create a knot of information that can seem impossible to untangle, especially when on the spot in a restaurant. As a sommelier, I’m on a mission to dive into the wine lists at North Texas restaurants and untangle the vinous knot.
For Italian wines, Chianti and Barolo are the most familiar, but outside of the big names there is less familiarity and opportunity for discoveries. But Partnenope Ristorante, a new restaurant in downtown Dallas run by husband and wife team Dino and Megan Santonicola, offers plenty of new wines to explore.
