TONY MANDOLA’S, the restaurant owned and operated by Tony and Phyllis Mandola, announced last month that they would be closing the doors of its flagship location on 1212 Waugh. The restaurant, which has been serving Houstonians since 1982 with a diverse array of seafood dishes featuring Italian and Creole cuisine, announced its closing on July 26. But all is not lost— while the Mandola’s made the announcement of its closing, they also shared that the search of a new location for the local seafood eatery was in full force.
