Promising “an authentic Philly experience” for East Coast transplants looking to cool down, Philly Freeze-Me has debuted a menu inspired by the owner’s hometown and a nostalgia for flavors Las Vegas just didn’t offer. Located at The Twain Center on the corner of Twain Avenue and Swenson Street, the retail center is actively luring new casual-dining tenants. The Italian ice restaurant replaces a long vacant, 1,080-square-foot butcher shop.
Vegan friendly and dairy-, gluten- and cholesterol-free, Philly Freeze-Me serves in sizes from small to “X-large” and scoops can be mixed-up to create new flavor combinations. Already on the early Philadelphia-inspired menu, Chestnut Street Cherry, Cecil B. Moore Ave Candy, Frankford Ave Fruit Punch, Snyder Ave Strawberry Lemonade, and Berks Street Banana. Of course, Tasker Street, Passyunk Avenue, Wissahickon Avenue, and Broad Street all get shout outs as well.
