Ethan Stowell Restaurants opens its new downtown Italian restaurant, Cortina, today at 11 a.m. in the former home of Sullivan’s Steakhouse at 621 Union Street. The restaurant will serve an array of pizzas, pastas, steak, and seafood dishes at lunch, dinner, and happy hour, in a sprawling, contemporary space.
The minimalist design features light oak and gray furniture, with a 60-foot bar and glass pendant chandelier as the centerpieces. The restaurant’s 134 seats are spread across a dining room, bar, and a lounge area. There’s also a private events space that can seat up to 40 people.
