Craving gelato? Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top gelato destinations in Seattle, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of where to venture when cravings strike.
1. Gelatiamo
Topping the list is Gelatiamo, a downtown bakery that makes its artisanal gelato fresh each day using seasonal produce and organic milk. Located at 1400 Third Ave. and Union Street, it's the highest rated gelato spot in Seattle, boasting 4.5 stars out of 625 reviews on Yelp. Owner Maria Coassin brought her Italian-inspired gelato recipe to America and first established this spot in 1996. Gelatiamo offers scoops, cones and bowls of individual gelato flavors but also does specialty items such as gelato cakes, bonbons and pops.
