If you've got Italian on the mind, a recent opening is need-to-know. The fresh addition to Ballard, called Valentinetti's, is located at 5425 Russell Ave. NW. Valentinetti's offers Italian dishes like ricotta gnocchi, brick oven meatballs, calamari, spaghetti, seafood linguine and more. Valentinetti's also offers plenty of gluten-free options—including gluten-free pasta.
There's also traditional Italian pinsa, which is similar to pizza, but is instead made with "non-GMO flour of wheat, soy and rice and cold fermentation process, which provides a pleasingly crispy-soft textured pinsa crust," according to the restaurant's website.
