So many restaurants out there claim to serve “authentic” Italian food, but when the Curbside Italian Kitchen in Silverton says it—they really mean it! The owners, Pietro Sangiorgi and Giulia Burato, are actually from Verona, Italy and purchased this adorable little cafe just last year. However, running a small-town restaurant wasn't always their plan.

Back in Italy, Pietro worked as a certified public accountant and Giulia as a medical doctor. When they first moved to the US, they landed in New York but soon realized they wanted a slower pace of life to raise their young daughter and stumbled upon Silverton, Oregon. They moved here in the spring of 2023 and saw that the Curbside Kitchen was up for sale and decided to take the plunge.
