The Sons of Italy Lodge used a new meatball recipe from Rome in Saturday’s annual spaghetti dinner that was served at the Cle Elum Eagles Lodge. Head chef Ron Dalle said he learned the recipe after he stumbled upon an Italian maitre d’ on Facebook who had the same family name as him.
Dalle asked the man if he had a recipe for meatballs that he’d be willing to share, and the maitre d’ provided him with a meatball recipe from the restaurant’s head chef in Rome.
