Tavolàta, a successful Seattle-based Italian restaurant, opens in downtown Boise on Monday! Owner Ethan Stowel says Tavolàta is a neighborhood, family-style Italian restaurant with pasta made from scratch. Once you order your dish, you'll actually be able to watch them make it! "We really love the idea of having an open kitchen," said Stowel. "You get to see everything, everybody gets to be part of the show."
Stowell says Tavolàta is meant to be a casual, family dining experience where you can eat great food that is a modern take on Italian. Stowell says he has been cooking for 28 years. Boise's Tavolàta will be the sixth location he has opened, with four in Seattle and one in Spokane. "I feel very fortunate, not a lot of people can say that they've made their hobby their career and their career their hobby," says Stowell.
