THE PLACE: The name Toni Rigatonis, a new Italian-American restaurant in northwest Reno, reflects a very personal mash-up for owner Chris Schiavone. Toni honors his father, Antonio, and rigatoni was his favorite childhood pasta.
The restaurant occupies a storefront space on the south side of the Raley's center at Robb Drive and Mae Anne Avenue. When the restaurant opened a few weeks ago, it filled a niche for a casual, drop-in Italian spot in the northwest.
