Matthew Carter, who helms the kitchens at Zinc Bistro, the Mission and the House Brasserie, will be opening an Italian restaurant in Scottsdale in fall 2016. The as-yet-unnamed restaurant is a collaboration between Carter, Brian Raab (Carter's partner at the Mission and the House) and Mark Drinkwater, who will be returning to the restaurant scene for the first time since the sale of his family's namesake steakhouse in 2007.
Their restaurant, at Scottsdale Road and Lincoln Drive, will take over the former space of the Quilted Bear and, more recently, Davanti Enoteca, another Italian restaurant that struggled and closed in 2013.
