Riviera Islands
The Italian Riviera is renowned for its palm-tree lined resort towns and colorful fishing villages, but it also has a handful of beautiful islands not far from the idyllic Ligurian coastline. Near the southwestern tip of the Italian Riviera lies a triplet of islands in the Gulf of La Spezia, which, along with the nearby town of Portovenere, have been designated a UNESCO World Heritage site.
