A summer getaway to Italy just got easier to plan. Months after American Airlines announced its 2024 expansion to Italy, the airline laid out its schedule — officially operating its largest-ever number of routes to the European country in the company’s 97 year history.
The airline will soon operate a new direct flight from New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport to Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino International Airport for the entire summer season, starting on June 5, 2024, a spokesperson for American shared with Travel + Leisure.
