Earlier this month, the Association of Italian Chambers of Commerce (Assocamerestero) sent nine top North American bloggers to Umbria, including one from Houston, Melody Price. The weeklong trip gave the writers, including lifestyle and food bloggers, the opportunity to experience not only authentic Umbrian wines and food products but also classic Umbrian gastronomic traditions.
The program of meetings, tastings, and meals was organized in conjunction with the Italian government’s True Italian Taste campaign, an initiative conceived as a means to promote and raise awareness of genuine Italian foods and foodways.
