
On the occasion of the visit to Isola delle Femmine, in the province of Palermo, Sicily, of a delegation of Italian-American citizens from Pittsburg and Martinez (California), led by the vice president of Italian American Club of Pittsburg, CA, Vince Ferrante, the Scala - Aiello family, through their little niece Ysabel Scala, donated to the Joe Di Maggio House Museum, the baseball autographed with dedication by the legendary champion originally from Isola delle Femmine received by Rosa Aiello in Rome on April 27, 1993.
The precious heirloom was delivered to Agata Sandrone president of the local branch of BCsicilia Isola delle Femmine and curator of the Joe Di Maggio House Museum. The handover ceremony was attended by a group of Isola citizens with the president of Friends of Isola delle Femmine, Stefano Bologna.
