Since Airbnb, the popular stay and homesharing booking site, introduced “Categories” in 2022, millions of unique accommodations around the world have been discovered by travelers, and some of the most popular are those in “vineyards,” with more than 33,000 listings in Italy alone.
Nights spent there increased by 400% in 2023 compared to 2022, and hosts in the category made a total of more than 200 million euros last year, with typical earnings of more than 4,500 euros per person over the same period. Among the most visited vineyards are those in the Prosecco Docg Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, which recorded double-digit growth rates with active listings increasing by 25% between 2022 and 2023, with an even greater increase in guest arrivals (over 35%).
