As “resta a casa” mandates and travel bans continue to be the new normal, many of us have found extra time to daydream, to get lost in thoughts that whisk us away from reality. For me, those dreams often center on travel to some beautiful Tuscan hill town as I lounge under a pergola while savoring a fine Sangiovese.
Or perhaps fantasies of dipping my toes into crystalline blue waters on a warm Sicilian beach…then again, relishing an afternoon secreted away in a mysterious museum…or how about hiking through a Dolomite meadow filled with spring flowers! So many options, and none would disappoint…once travel restrictions are loosened and the world can begin to spin again, that is.
