Silvia Campello didn’t set out to take over her family business. The Chief Executive Officer of the luxury, Italian intimate apparel brand, Cosabella, was an avid student who studied both business and pre-med as an undergrad (which she finished in three years), and then went on to study ballet at the Sorbonne during a gap year. “I was conflicted, she says. “I had a passion for medicine, but I knew the business was there and that was a path I could take.”
Since taking over the helm of the company alongside her brother Guido, who is the Creative Director, she has helped to usher the lingerie brand into the second generation of the business. “It’s filled with so much emotion, you know,” the CEO says about her experience in running a family enterprise.
