Former Notre Dame All American Nick Civetta has signed a contract with Lazio 1927 of Italy's Eccellenza league, the country's top professional rugby league.
The 6-9 Civetta suited up for the USA Selects in the fall and had been playing with NYAC, but spent much of this past spring rehabbing from shoulder surgery. But now that he's healthy, he was able to sign the deal with Lazio, which is a one-year agreement with an option for a second. Civetta said he is fully dedicated to making the USA national team.
