On Earth Day (22 April), two exhibitions remind us of the fact that recycling waste isn't just essential to the planet’s survival, it can also be a form of creativity. 3CO-Design – 3R: Reuse, Recycle, Reduce offers a selection of over fifty objects that were recycled and/or created with sustainable materials and technologies, made by well-known artists as well as the young rising stars of Italian design. Curated by Silvana Annicchiarico, the exhibition will go on tour from 2021 to 2023.
Trash on the other hand is a virtual exhibition - which can be accessed by requesting free codes from Italian Cultural Institutes- dedicated to the film Trash – La leggenda della piramide magica, an animation by Francesco Dafano and Luca Della Grotta about waste disposal and recycling. We have reached the eighth edition of Ambarabà Riciclocò – Da cosa nasce cosa, the project that in collaboration with Farnesina, aims to raise awareness in children about recycling and reusing resources. This project has also been opened for the first time to Italian primary schools all around the world (information on ricreaedu.org).
